about VCE
|
For a design project to be successful, a creative partnership between the VCE design team and the client is essential. Recent upgrades at the Department of Motor Vehicles brought these elements together with outstanding results. Working in tandem, the team set goals for the interior design and layout of DMV's new office, which was to accommodate 40 employees in one 100 by 30-foot room.
Not only were the individuals pleased aesthetically, a practical issue was solved as well. The DMV building has experienced air circulation problems, so the lower panels encourage unrestricted airflow of both the heating and air conditioning systems. DMV wanted an open environment with an easy traffic flow. The designer achieved this objective by constructing spaces with fewer panels, which opened up the corridors and created more space between stations. The office entrances are larger than standard, which encouraged employees to gather there.
The success of this DMV project proves that a creative design staff, coupled with KOS flexibility, can create an aesthetic, workable office environment for any business anywhere. If you're ready to design or renovate your office, the VCE Design Department will be glad to help.
